A hulking straphanger allegedly incensed over a seat he wanted on a crowded D-train senselessly stabbed another rider to death in front of horrified passengers in Midtown early today, police
A train conductor quickly sealed the doors, locking in the suspect until police arrived at the northbound 7th Av platform around 2 a.m
The deadly confrontation erupted in the first car, which had some two dozen riders, after the 36-year-old victim refused to move a bag off a seat where the suspect wanted to sit
"There was an argument over a seat and the victim was stabbed," a police source said.
