Be careful of the default of this takeover agreement. Its risk must be higher  than fixed income products.  If the risk is same to U.S bond or CD, why not buy the option of May 2012 of GR.

"Not every deal will go through, but most do." this is one of the risk. It is a general one.  You need go through more detail of the agreement and financial situation of both sides even the whore Eco future to create a model to determine the final risk of it. It is  too complicate to be handled by a single person.
I do not believe any claim of annual return 4% with same risk as U.S bond or CD.
